Judging by these excellent photos, Andrew Bailey (below) isn't the only keen photographer at Woodstock Divers (BSAC Branch 506). Snapped off by BSAC Sports Diver Peter Green, this excellent set of photos show the aircraft and other attractions in all their glory. Thanks for the photos, Peter - we're very impressed!

Andrew Bailey from Woodstock Divers (BSAC Branch 506) sent us these superb photos he snapped off when he visited Vobster for the first time on the 17th August 2007. As you can see, Andrew and his friends had a great time. "We will defiantly be coming back - we thought it was an excellent site and your staff were friendly and pleasant to talk to" he commented. Thanks for the kind words and the great photos, Andrew!

Vobster Quay is proud to sponsor the University of Bath team and their Bursthp submarine when they take on the rest of the world at the 9th International Submarine Races in the USA later this year. The Bursthp team will be the only team representing the UK.

Proving once again that you don't need to spend thousands of pounds on an expensive camera system to get stunning photos, these images were taken using a camera system costing less than £400! Using just natural light, the images (images 2, 4, 5 & 6) were enhanced in a paint program to bring out their true colours. Photos 1 & 3, however, are completely untouched.

Ever wondered what the lake at Vobster Quay would look like if you drained out all the water? Well now - thanks to our friends at SEA (Group) Ltd and their state of the art sidescan sonar technology - you can see what lies beneath the lake waters. Mounted on a motorised floating platform, SEA managed to map the entire lake with just a single pass, revealing detail on the quarry floor that even we didn't know about...

These stunning photos were taken by talented underwater photographer Pete Steggle using the sort of camera equipment that most of us can only dream about! With a fish eye lens and high quality dome port, the extreme wide angle allowed Pete to squeeze far more of the subject matter into the frame without moving beyond the limits of visibility.

In August 2004, Vobster Quay populated the lake with one thousand juvenile rainbow trout. Some said they wouldn't survive but as these photos show, they're flourishing! Hovering in the shallows with nothing more than a camera and water clouded with bread crumbs, we snapped off these fantastic shots...

The excitement and nerve-wracking tension of adrenalin-fueled racing came to Vobster with the very first annual DPV Racing Tournament staged in Europe. Teams from across the country competed for the glory of crossing the finishing line in the fastest possible time. In a nail biting finale, the team from A-Flag Diving romped home to take the winner's spot on the podium.

If you thought Vobster's resident rainbow trout get a bit too close for comfort, imagine how you'd feel if this fellow swam up to you during a dive! During secret filming for Channel 5 Television, Vobster played host to Lucy - a fully animatronic Loch Ness Monster designed to look and act just like the real thing. Here's some pics taken during her visit...

We see some pretty wacky things here at Vobster Quay but few compare to the antics that MBUK Magazine got up to when they visited Vobster Quay on the 23rd August 2005. Some of the biggest names in mountain biking gathered at Vobster to perform all manner of extreme stunts in the name of fun and extreme lunacy...

Proving once again that old-fashioned 35mm 'wet film' can still compete in these days of high-tech digital cameras, these shots were taken on an old Nikonos V with a 15mm wide angle lens and a YS120 strobe. As you can see, the results speak for themselves!...
